Whenever December hits the calendar , old aged , parents and children alike get this never ending broad smile because – CHRISTMASSS!!! Here are 8 must to do things when it’s Christmas
Christmas Day is celebrated on 25th December every year . It is a festive Christian holiday celebrated with exuberance and radiance all over the globe .
To make your festival the best and memorable, here are 8 must to do things when It’s Christmas.
1) CHRISTMAS TREE
The Christmas feels and Christmas vibe is incomplete without a Christmas tree.
A bigger Christmas tree is more palpable and easy to decorate whereas a small one can easily serve your purpose .
Be it fairy lights or Christmas balls , be it pom pom decoration strips or thermacol wrapped gifts – all this can make your Christmas tree more appealing and beauteous .
Another thing which can make the concept of Christmas tree liked by your entire family , especially if you have little kids is a ‘gift box’ that can be placed beneath the Christmas tree . You can ask your kids to write a wish and keep the folded paper in the box . Next morning you can surprise your child by fulfilling her/his wish .
2) DRESS UP LIKE A SANTA AND DISTRIBUTE COOKIES
When it’s Christmas , santa and surprise becomes synonyms . So , why not you become everybody’s secret santa and enlighten them with candies?
Time to fetch your red clothes and stuff your cheeks with cotton because it’s SANTAAAA time!!
Distribute candies to everyone you meet . This idea could turn really good if you visit an orphanage or slum area and distribute candies and spread smiles .
Inculcating your kids in this activity can make them learn and cherish the importance of helping others .
3) BAKE COOKIES
Christmas and baking appears to be the most quintessential combination .
Baking cookies moulded in shapes of Christmas tree , santa or any other Christmas essential can be the best way to spend your Christmas evening.
Also you can make few quick dishes that your children will enjoy
4) CHRISTMAS CAROLS
Carols are songs or hymns on the theme of Christmas .
Starting your Christmas evening with carols will help you set the right mood for Christmas night . Also singing them with the entire family can make you reminisce your childhood days and you can relive them .
5) COMPETITION TIME
Keep a competition in your street – the family with the best Christmas tree wins !!!
Make sure you keep a reward (even though it’s a small one) . It will boost the competitive mood of the people and the competition will be spiced up .
6) THROW A PARTY
This is one thing you can do for yourself . Send your children and hubby out and make it an all mommy’s party .
Play some music with wine and food and make this the best Christmas of your life !!!
7) GO TO A CHURCH
The best ending to your Christmas can be visiting a church , lighting a candle and making a wish .
8) PLAY ‘SECRET SANTA’
Okay , so if you haven’t heard of this game rules are as follows :
- a) Write the name of each participant on a separate slip and fold them
- b) Shake them properly and ask each participant to pick up one slip
- c) DON’T disclose name on your slip
- d) Keep the gift that you think the person (whose name is on your slip) will like in the bag/drawer/disk and surprise them .
And that’s it!!!
Usually the person who is the secret santa does not disclose their identity even after everybody has received their gifts . But it’s up to you J
