Postcards from a Quiet Coastal Village

Sun-washed lanes, long lunches, and the kind of afternoon that gently changes your sense of time.

Sunlit coastal village lane

By late afternoon, the stone lane held the day’s warmth. Laundry moved above the narrow street, and somewhere below us a small boat crossed the blue water without hurry.

Where the day opens up

There was no itinerary beyond coffee, the market, and a swim before dinner. The absence of plans became its own generous plan.

Travel is sometimes less about collecting landmarks and more about remembering how it feels to move at another place’s pace.
